Kingsview Discipleship

The Kingsview Discipleship Process is for everyone: newcomer to long-time member.
Just as Christ asks us to make disciples, we are also life-long disciples ourselves. We encourage everyone to take a STEP IN and join the mission and vision of Kingsview. Start any step at any time—we repeat our classes through the year, so you will always be able to catch what you’ve missed.
You can sign-up for our classes by clicking the button below, or through the Church Center App by clicking ‘Groups’.

1. Get Started
Establishing a firm foundation on which to build your faith
101: Foundations
Everything has a beginning. Every person, every idea, every journey starts somewhere. Whether it's one small step in a new direction or a major event, from that point forward nothing is ever the same. Join us for this six-week series where we focus on the starting point of our faith—Jesus.
Six-week course
102: Baptism
Info Class & Baptism Celebration
Baptism isn't an act that gets us into heaven—it is faith in Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord that offers that assurance. Baptism (by full immersion as taught in the Bible) is an act of obedience that should be an immediate part of our acceptance of the gift of grace offered by Jesus Christ.
According to the Bible, the symbolism of baptism declares that three things happen to believers who are baptized: (1) they die with Christ to their old self; (2) they rise with Christ to become a new creature; (3) they are incorporated in their new life with a living community which looks for the coming of the Lord.
2. Get Connected
Rooting ourselves in relationship with others to help us on our journey
201: Newcomer Connect
Our Newcomer Connect Class is the perfect place for you to connect to our Kingsview Family. Whether it's your first week or you've been here a while, we invite everyone to join us as we share our stories and build relationships with people who call Kingsview home.
Four-week course
Week 1: Connect through Stories
Week 2: Connect through Community
Week 3: Connect through Serving
Week 4: Connect through Fellowship
202: Connect Groups
Our Connect groups are core to implementing the mission of raising and making disciples at Kingsview.
A Connect group is a group of up to 10-12 people that are committed to caring for each other, walking through life together, growing together and having fun together.
God wants us to be in relationship with each other that goes deeper than saying “Hi!” on a Sunday morning. Being united in Christ’s love, we have a place to ask tough questions, share struggles, receive encouragement but also challenge us to step in to fulfill our part in the great commission.
It’s a safe environment where we can be real and vulnerable with each other.
Facilitated by Elliott & Carolyn Jeyaseelan

Taking the call to follow Jesus seriously

Current Series – Spiritual Disciplines
In this eight-session teaching series, we discover and explore the habits, practices, and experiences that help us develop and grow in faith and become more like Jesus. If you have felt unsure of ‘what to do’ as a disciple of Jesus or felt disappointed with your relationship with God, this series is for you. Pastor Jordan and the teaching team look at how Jesus lived and how we can model our lives after His ways and rhythms.

4. Become a Disciple-maker
Fulfill the Great Commission by being a disciple-maker with those around you
401: Discipling Others
If you are a disciple of Christ, you are called to make disciples! But why and how do you do that? This course helps us learn why disciples need to be disciple makers.
Three-week course
Week 1: What is a Disciple?
Week 2: The Command to Make Disciples
Week 3: The Heart of a Disciple Maker
402: Lead Others
We are grateful for all the many people who have made Kingsview their home and show their commitment by giving of their time, talents, gifts and resources! Leadership is a unique combination of gifts, talents and anointing—while we are all called to serve, not all are called to lead.
If you have gone through the full Kingsview Discipleship Process and feel called to take on a leadership role at the church, connect with one of our pastors or leaders to find out more.
