It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend, you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel.

This can be a confusing time when you feel isolated and have many questions about things you’ve never faced before.

“Going to GriefShare feels like having warm arms wrapped around you when you’re shivering.”

GriefShare groups meet weekly to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life.

The Sanctuary Course is a study guide for small groups, designed to raise awareness and start conversations in local churches regarding mental health. Your group might include:

  • People with questions about mental health
  • Mental health professionals with a wealth of knowledge to share
  • Leaders who want to engage their community in mental health conversations
  • People supporting loved ones with mental health problems
  • People living with mental health problems

The Sanctuary Course is for anyone who wants to learn about faith and mental health. It requires no previous training or expertise—just a willingness to engage in dialogue with other believers. This course and films address difficult and sensitive topics, and may not be appropriate for a young audience. It is not recommended for people ages 17 and younger.

Kingsview recommends Big Little Heroes to help caregivers who are feeling burnt out, overwhelmed and do not know how to help their child. Big Little Heroes can come alongside you in the hope of a brighter tomorrow and they strongly believe that empowering the parent, empowers the family.

This three-day journey is hosted in a setting of beauty and tranquility and is designed to recapture your heart. Through teaching sessions, films, and guided periods of reflection, we show participants that the “more” they have been longing for in life is available! This is more than a retreat – it is an expedition of the hearts.

Through an atmosphere of beauty, teaching sessions, films, music and reflection, our prayer is that the Lord will draw you near to His heart, revealing to you the desires and dreams He has placed in you, healing every wound, and letting you see yourself as the captivating woman He created you to be.

I would like more information about Hearts of Beauty Retreat:

“This is not a retreat about the ‘seven things a man ought to do to be a nicer guy.’ It is a… quest into the recovery of a man’s masculine soul, the release of a man’s heart—his passions and his true nature—all given him by God.
It’s an invitation to rush the fields at Bannockburn, to go West, to leap from the falls and save the beauty. For if a man is going to know who he truly is as a man, if he is going to find a life worth living, love a woman deeply, and not pass on his confusion to his children, he simply must get his heart back.”

Kingsview’s twelve step recovery program is Christ-centred and confidential. Once a group starts it is closed. Groups are run on a regular basis.
